Guy Lodge is an author, entrepreneur, and devoted father who has been successfully homeschooling his daughters using a FREE online public school platform for the past seven years. Through intense research, he educated himself about the natural window of opportunity for children learning to read written words simultaneously while they are learning to speak words, then poured all he learned into his daughters teaching them each to read by the age of three. Shortly after their first day of kindergarten when their reading was assessed, they were all reading on a fourth grade reading level.
During the process of him reading hundreds of picture books to his children, and having his children read hundreds of picture books back to him, he organically became well versed in story arcs, character development, story pace, as well as artwork placement and direction. Then prompted by an experience he had long ago of finding out what a valedictorian was too late to even try for that goal, he wrote and self-published, VALEDICTORIAN. Attempting to write a few things into existence for his daughters, while ensuring that readers world wide will have a chance to know from the very beginning of their educational journey what a valedictorian is; and be inspired to strive for academic excellence.

Presentation features an interactive read of Valedictorian, a probing question and answer session, and each participant gets to create a vision board to help them visualize what they want for their future. Additionally, every participants leaves with a signed copy of Valedictorian to add to their personal libraries.

Self-publishing author and owner of LodgeWell Publishing, Guy discusses what it takes to create a book that will withstand the test of time; and walks participants step by step through the process of first writing a book and then self-publishing that book.
Early Literacy, and the Age 0-5 Window of Opportunity
Did you know that babies have a once in a lifetime natural window of opportunity to learn language with less effort? During this workshop, Guy shares with participants how he took advantage of the 0-5 window of opportunity and taught his children to read by age 3, and reading at a fourth grade reading level by kindergarten.
Online Public School, Learning From the Safety of Your Home
Guy has homeschooled his children for the past seven years using a FREE, online public school platform. During this workshop Guy shares with participants what prompted him to homeschool in the first place, how they too can take advantage of this SAFE and totally FREE option, and opens participants eyes to a new way of educating outside of four walls with a blackboard, notebook and simply reading all about the world from a book.
